Eagle Mountain was originally developed by the Tuscarora Land Company in 1984.  With this new land development, came opportunities for land ownership over a 1000 acres of pure West Virginia countryside. Once all properties were sold, Tuscarora Land Company had no further ownership or interest.  Eagle Mountain was developed for owners to enjoy the natural beauty of the crisp air, wildlife, and the numerous benefits of a relaxed lifestyle. The initial Covenants set forth by the Tuscarora Land Company were amended over the last 39 years and reflect evolutionary changes to maintain a vibrant community. 

The Eagle Mountain Property Owners Association (EMPOA) exists to ensure that fellow property owners have basic, common responsibilities, procedures and guidelines to maintain a thriving community.  As such, each year members elect a EMPOA Board, who are primarily responsible and answer to members.  The EMPOA Board uses EMPOA amended Covenants and Bylaws to meet its responsibilities to fellow members.  These documents are amended over time.  The EMPOA is tasked with maintaining this pristine tract of land and throughout the years, property owners continue to accept the responsibilities as stewards for our community.

Just as the seasons bring wonderful changes to West Virginia, time has also brought evolutionary changes to the Eagle Mountain Property Owners Association.  some of these changes have been the strengthening of the financial stability of the Association, the continual maintenance of the roads, and the automatic gate at the entrance to our community.
